Get Your Home Ready To Sell

·      Perform thorough yard clean-up. Curb appeal is the first impression a buyer has and the last as they drive away.

·      Reseal cracks in concrete areas. Paint concrete if it looks rough.

·      Power-wash the exterior. Remove green algae with a solution of bleach and water.

·      Clean and align gutters and downspouts. Make sure they drain away from the basement.

·      Clean the chimney and fire box.

·      Remove oil stains from driveway and garage. Sweep walks and driveway.

·      Wash windows, tracks, sills. Mend torn screens.

·      Thoroughly clean the interior. Organize closets.

·      Repair drippy faucets and shower heads.

·      Unclog slow drains. Inspectors run the faucets and test drains.

·      Shampoo carpets, scrub and wax linoleum and wood floors.

·      Replace burned-out light bulbs.

·      Clean all appliances, buyers open the oven.

·      Replace toilet seats and shower curtains. Wood toilet seats are no longer preferred.

·      Clear away all cobwebs, even the ones near the ceiling and in the basement stairwell, along the basement windows.

·      Wash all light switches, handrails and doorknobs.
